TYT Troubles
In pure and simple terms TYT has ended up with bills equating to about $4000 US dollars.
My personal belief is that most of these charges are bullshit (and I’ve paid the ones that aren’t). This is the reason the sites are currently down whilst I argue with the hosting provider over who’s in the right.
If it were during the season I’d pay the money and move on but fuck ‘em.
I’ve come up with some interim plans, some of which were going to happen ANYWAY this is has just moved them up in the timetable.
I hope to have at least part of this resolved in the next few days to enable the site to go back up but with the lackluster response from the other side that may or may not happen.
I’ll update here as soon as I have some more info.
Ouch! Not nice. I can understand you fighting this, Dan. If you need any help financially I can’t afford much and not for a little while (just paid out for a wheelchair and essentail accesories for Irene), but if you can remind me of your/tyt’s paypal account I’ll get some money transferred as soon as possible.

Dan, i say fuck ‘em and move on with your other plans. I miss TYT heaps but if they are going to pull this shit now then they probably will again at some point in the future.
I’m prepared to wait a while longer if its for a greater benefit and less stress on the admin.$4k in extra charges is what i call stress…..
Also, is it possible to leave a paypal link here? Either that or i just send to the email address in my paypal receipts from earlier.

Fully understand why you don’t want to give in to the bloodsuckers, but whichever way you go I reckon there are a lot of us out here willing to help out with a cash injection. Paypal link, as suggested, is a good idea.

Yep i’d call that BS. I don’t have much money and I don’t have paypal but i’d sure as hell find a way to send at least what little I got to help. If it takes a little longer to get back up and running then i’m willing to wait.

Forking out 4k of your own money is too much. You’ve done a lot of all the TYT community and I don’t think its asking much if you need donations, especially at a time like this. If there is anything we can do - we’re here Dan. Keep fighting the good fight.

We should’ve had that “donations for Upload GBs” concept like most other sites, since that’s one of the best ways to encourage people to spare some money so that they could download something if they’re not uploading much.

While I’m not speaking for anyone but myself, I would guess/hope that all of us who have enjoyed the services provided by TYT would be willing to help out financially as needed. Don’t take this whole thing on your shoulders if money is the issue (not that I’m rich or anything but right is right!).
sucks that this is happening. i just bought a new HD capture card thing for this upcoming season.
